    Third party motor insurance policy

    Third-party liability insurance policy covers the insured person against financial/legal liabilities in the following situations:

    1.       Damages to third-party properties caused by the insured vehicle.

     

    2.       Bodily injuries and and/or death caused to a third party by the insured vehicle.

     

    This type of insurance pays out regardless of who is at fault.

     

    This insurance extends only to vehicles owned or operated by the insured.

     

    This policy does not cover damages to the insured vehicle.

     

    The policy does not cover injuries/death of the vehicle’s driver.

     

    The policy does not cover injuries/death of the insured and close members of his family.

     

    Excess fees must be paid at the beginning of the claim process.

     

    Excess fees are determined by the insurer in line with guidelines laid down by the Insurance Regulation Authoity.

     

    Amounts or type of compensation to third parties is determined by the insurer in line with the existing insurance laws of Kenya.

     

    Fraudulent claims will not be honored and may lead to prosecution according to the laws of Kenya.

     

    Only policy whose premium is fully paid is considered valid.
